Civil Litigation

Civil Litigation refers to any lawsuit that may brought before a court or tribunal in order to recover a right, obtain damages, obtain injunction, prevent injury or obtain a declaratory judgment to prevent future legal disputes. Civil Litigation involves lawsuits and dispute resolutions that do not entail criminal charges.

At Beigel Law Office we advise and represent clients on wide range of civil matters before courts, administrative agencies and commissions. We assist our clients in ordering their affairs to avoid litigation whenever reasonably possible. When unavoidable, we help clients assess the cost effectiveness, practicality and viability of the available dispute resolution methods, such as court action, arbitration and mediation.

Examples of the Civil Litigation we handle include:

  • Estate, Trust and Probate disputes involving areas such as will contests, guardianships, beneficiary rights and fiduciary representation.
  • Real Estate disputes involving issues such as boundary lines, zoning, easements, assessments, foreclosures, adverse claims, title disputes and mechanic or other liens.
  • Business disputes involving such areas as shareholder, corporate and member disputes, breach of fiduciary duties, minority rights, enforcement of shareholders agreements, and directors’ and officers’ liability;
  • Tort actions arising from personal injury, wrongful death, negligent and intentional actions.
  • Contract disputes and enforcement, including damage claims, interpretation, injunctions and specific performance.
  • Mediation and arbitration to reduce the cost and time involved in dispute resolution;
  • Appellate proceedings.
